EXTRA MATERIALS:

Alexandra Wilson: “I’m not a defendant. I am a barrister.”
Diane Abbott: “I fought racism and misogyny to become an MP. The fight is getting harder.”
“Flexner was right about historically Black medical schools’ and Black physicians’ key roles in American communities’ health. A century later, funding remains a struggle for historically Black institutions and for increasing numbers of US medical students”.
As of this year, the Flexner Award has been renamed.
“Most interracial commercials on TV are produced to provide white Americans with a sense of comfort that in the face of changing power structures and demographics they will still dominate the racial pecking order.”
